This Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy governs the purchase of products from Mithila Magic (“we”, “our”, “us”) through our website and/or associated e-commerce platforms.

1. Nature of Products

Our products include perishable and consumable food items such as handmade thekua, pickles, and similar products. Due to their perishable and hygiene-sensitive nature, returns and refunds are limited and subject to the terms outlined below.

2. Return Policy

As a general policy, we do not accept returns once the products have been delivered. This restriction is in place to maintain food safety, hygiene standards, and product integrity.

3. Eligible Cases for Replacement / Refund

We may offer a replacement, refund, or store credit under the following circumstances:

  • Product received is damaged during transit
  • Product is defective, spoiled, or unfit for consumption at the time of delivery
  • Incorrect product has been delivered

All such requests are subject to verification.

4. Reporting of Issues

To be eligible for a replacement or refund, customers must notify us within 24 hours of delivery and provide clear photos/videos of:

  • Outer packaging
  • Inner packaging
  • Product received
  • Order ID and a brief description of the issue

Claims reported beyond this timeframe may not be considered.

5. Non-Eligible Cases

  • Change of mind after delivery
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping details provided by the customer
  • Delivery delays attributable to courier partners or unforeseen circumstances
  • Minor variations in taste, color, texture, or appearance
  • Improper storage, handling, or usage after delivery
  • Failure to provide required proof within the specified time

6. Refund / Replacement Process

Upon verification and approval of the claim:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original mode of payment within 5–7 business days
  • A replacement product will be dispatched at no additional cost
  • In certain cases, we may offer store credit instead of a refund

7. Order Cancellation

  • Orders may be cancelled within 12 hours of placing the order or prior to dispatch, whichever is earlier
  • Once the order has been dispatched, cancellation requests will not be accepted
  • Cancellation charges may apply, if applicable

8. Return to Origin (RTO)

If an order is returned to us due to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address
  • Customer unavailable at the time of delivery
  • Refusal to accept delivery

We will contact the customer to arrange re-delivery. Additional shipping charges may apply. Refunds, if requested in such cases, will be processed after deduction of shipping and handling charges.

9. Perishable Goods Disclaimer

As our products are perishable, timely delivery and proper storage are essential. We shall not be responsible for spoilage or deterioration due to delivery delays beyond our control, customer unavailability, or improper storage after delivery.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted under applicable law, our liability shall be limited to the value of the product purchased. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our products.

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts at Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
