Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy governs the shipment and delivery of products purchased from Mithila Magic (“we”, “our”, “us”) through our website.

1. Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–2 (one to two) business days from the date of order confirmation. Orders are not processed, shipped, or delivered on weekends or public holidays.

Upon dispatch, customers will receive a shipment confirmation notification via email and/or SMS containing relevant tracking details.

2. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated based on the delivery location, order weight, and applicable logistics rates.

The final shipping fee shall be displayed at the time of checkout prior to payment confirmation.

We reserve the right to revise shipping charges without prior notice, subject to applicable law.

3. Estimated Delivery Timelines

Delivery timelines are indicative and may vary depending on factors beyond our control, including courier delays, weather conditions, or regulatory restrictions.

  • Metro Cities: 5–7 business days
  • Non-Metro / Remote Locations: 7–10 business days

Business days exclude Sundays and public holidays.

4. Logistics and Delivery Partners

We engage reputable third-party logistics providers such as Blue Dart, Delhivery, Shiprocket, and other authorized courier partners for order fulfillment.

While we strive to ensure timely delivery, we shall not be held liable for delays attributable to third-party logistics providers.

5. Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, a tracking ID / AWB number will be shared via email and/or SMS.

Customers may track their shipment in real time through the courier partner’s website.

7. Failed Delivery / Return to Origin (RTO)

In cases where delivery fails due to reasons including but not limited to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address
  • Recipient unavailability after multiple delivery attempts
  • Refusal to accept delivery

The shipment may be returned to us (RTO).

In such cases:

  • We will notify the customer for re-dispatch
  • Additional shipping charges may be applicable for re-delivery
  • Refunds, if any, shall be processed after deducting shipping and handling charges

8. Damaged, Defective, or Tampered Packages

We take utmost care in packaging our products. However, in the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  • Customers must notify us within 24 hours of delivery
  • Clear photos/videos of the product and outer packaging must be provided as proof

Upon verification, we may, at our sole discretion:

  • Offer a replacement
  • Process a refund/credit note in accordance with our Refund Policy

9. Perishable Goods Disclaimer

As our products include perishable food items (cookies, pickles, etc.), delivery timelines are critical.

We shall not be liable for spoilage due to:

  • Delays caused by courier partners
  • Incorrect storage by the customer post-delivery
  • Customer unavailability at the time of delivery
